Upgraid arrived with real technical depth and no story a buyer could repeat back, and one quarter of market window to close the gap. A five-week sprint resolved the pitch into four promises: precision targeting, customized pitches, rapid feasibility, and faster proposals.
An AI-assisted workflow was the accelerant and also the friction. First passes rarely landed, and the tools only produced usable work once the narrative was framed tightly enough to steer them.
Four promises, one scroll: a nav pill that detaches on scroll, section numbers that count up, and comparison cards built around a two-color argument: working green for the Upgraid way, slate blue for the traditional one.
A visual language system, two pitch decks rebuilt on it, and a website reskin the team could maintain on their own: narrative, brand, and product positioning, run directly with the executive team over five weeks.
“An AI workflow takes the friction out, so the designer can direct, not just produce.”
