Branding, packaging, art direction, and website for Hot Drops — a probiotic lacto-fermented hot sauce brand.

Hot Drops is a hot sauce company born out of the pandemic and from a love of cooking and creating. Launched in 2020 by Leigh and her brother, Andrew – the founder and head chef. Leigh oversees the creative strategy, branding, positioning, and marketing.

Hot Drops puts flavor first by refocusing culinary intention to creating robust healthy sauces via lacto-fermentation rather than creating heat-focused sauces that stress the body. Hot Drops is a pro-biotic hot sauce that works with the gut biome rather than against it.

The bottle jumps off aisle shelves as the branding is straightforward and pared back allowing the natural colors of the sauces to guide the color system. Each label is outfitted with an iconography guide to help the consumer know what foods would be complemented by each sauce. Leigh and Andrew collaborate on the copywriting – something only a brother and sister would be able to agree on.
